Stated plainly

What the treatment can do, and what it cannot.

“Great results should look natural … a conservative approach focused on subtle enhancement rather than dramatic change.”

On the approach

“The goal here isn’t perfectly flawless skin, but a visible softening of scar depth, improved texture and a more even overall appearance.”

On acne scarring

“Estimated improvement varies by scar type, skin condition and the number of sessions.”

On what to expect

Quoted from the practice’s own published notes. Every treatment follows a consultation, with the risks, the recovery time and the aftercare set out before anything is agreed.

Before anything is injected

The consultation comes first, and it is redeemable.

Thirty or sixty minutes, and the fee comes off any treatment taken within three months.

  • History A full medical history review, to establish whether treatment is suitable at all.
  • Assessment Visual assessment of skin quality, and a clear account of what you actually want changed.
  • Options The evidence behind each option, and which of them fits your anatomy rather than a standard plan.
  • Risks Potential risks, recovery timelines and post-care instructions, explained before you decide.

Signature treatment

Acne scarring, treated by depth.

Old acne changes the layers of the skin. Fibrous bands beneath the surface tether the dermis downward, which is what makes scarring look uneven under certain light. The protocol works from that depth upward.

  1. At the surface

    Microneedling, for surface refinement

Millions of microchannels are made into the surface of the skin with a medical-grade device, which encourages collagen production and cell regeneration in the layer you can see.

  2. Within the dermis

    Polynucleotides, in the treated plane

Once the tethering is released, polynucleotides are introduced within that same plane, to support skin quality, recovery and the tissue environment as it heals.

  3. Beneath the dermis

    Subcision, to release the tethering

Using a cannula, the fibrous bands pulling the skin downward are physically broken down. Subcision has been in the hands of skin doctors for years and has robust data behind it. Released, the skin sits more freely and responds better to what follows.

What to expect

Carried out under local anaesthetic. Most patients see significant change after a course of three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart, and a course of three over several months is what Dr Hussein recommends. Redness and mild swelling are expected for 48 to 72 hours, with most patients back to their usual skincare routine within a few days.
